Analysis of Factors Influencing Alcohol Consumption among Mathematics Students Using Logistic Regression
Keywords:
Alcohol, modeling, performance, predictionAbstract
The study investigated alcohol consumption among high school students, focusing on mathematics majors. Logistic regression was used as a statistical method suitable for binary variables, allowing for the prediction and classification of drinking behavior during school days. Factors such as academic performance, extracurricular activities, social relationships, and family environment were analyzed. The data used were obtained from Kaggle, enabling practical and contextualized application. Comparative modeling of the main determinants of consumption was performed. The most accurate model was selected to predict the observed patterns. The results obtained allow for a better understanding of the characteristics and support strategies and school interventions.
