This research highlights the disparity in longevity between men and women in Brazil from 2015 to 2035. Using public data from the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE), an exploratory analysis was conducted in Python via Google Colaboratory (Colab), with the Pandas, Matplotlib, and Seaborn libraries for data cleaning, organization, and visualization.
The results demonstrate that the life expectancy of women is consistently higher than that of men. However, the analysis reveals that this difference tends to decrease in the coming years. It is concluded that, despite the observed convergence, female longevity should continue to be a relevant demographic factor, with a direct impact on the composition of the Brazilian population.
