GEOTECNOLOGIAS APLICADAS AO MONITORAMENTO DO USO DO SOLO NA BACIA HIDROGRÁFICA DO RIACHÃO, NO NORTE DE MINAS GERAIS
Abstract
Os avanços nos sensores de monitoramento terrestre e o desenvolvimento de softwares de sistema de informações geográficas permitiram estudar com maior agilidade e precisão a ocupação do espaço terrestre. Diante disso, a aplicação das geotecnologias em estudos ambientais se torna crescente, devido à necessidade de intervenção para conter a degradação ambiental. Associado a esse fato, a bacia hidrográfica é apontada, inclusive pela legislação brasileira, como território de gestão ambiental. Logo, as geotecnologias vêm sendo usadas para monitorar a ocupação do solo de bacias hidrográficas. Nessa perspectiva, este trabalho objetivou analisar as alterações do uso do solo na Bacia Hidrográfica do rio Riachão, nos anos de 1989, 1999 e 2009, usando de recursos geotecnológicos, como imagens de satélites e de radar, além dos sistemas de informações geográficas. A escolha dessa bacia se deve ao conflito pelo uso da água que ocorre entre os ocupantes dessa área. Logo, os resultados encontrados neste artigo permitiram compreender melhor o conflito ambiental que ocorre na bacia hidrográfica do Riachão, no norte do estado de Minas Gerais.Downloads
