Modelagem da distribuição potencial de Cedrela odorata no Brasil: Padrões e áreas prioritárias para conservação

Resumo

A Cedrela odorata L. é uma espécie neotropical de alto valor econômico, ameaçada pela explo­ração madeireira e pela fragmentação de seus habitats. A conservação eficaz da espécie em escala nacional depende da identificação de áreas que ainda oferecem condições ambientais favoráveis ao seu desenvolvi­mento. Dessa maneira, o objetivo do trabalho foi identificar áreas prioritárias para conservação de C. odorata no Brasil por meio de modelagem de distribuição de espécies, considerando as áreas de maior adequabilida­de ambiental. A distribuição potencial da espécie foi modelada utilizando o algoritmo MaxEnt, a partir de 568 registros de ocorrência e 17 variáveis preditoras (climáticas, topográficas e edáficas). O modelo ótimo foi selecionado via pacote ENMeval com base no menor valor de AICc, utilizando validação cruzada espaci­al em blocos para garantir a robustez e evitar o sobre ajuste. O modelo final apresentou performance robusta (AUC = 0,749; CBI = 0,896). A sazonalidade da temperatura foi a variável mais influente (37,2% de contri­buição), indicando que o clima é o principal determinante da distribuição. Foram identificados dois núcleos de alta adequabilidade de habitat: um na Amazônia e outro, fragmentado, na Mata Atlântica. O mapa de ha­bitat foi classificado em quatro níveis de potencial, delineando áreas prioritárias para conservação. A mode­lagem de nicho permitiu identificar áreas de maior importância para a conservação de C. odorata no Brasil
