INFLUÊNCIA DA CLIMATOLOGIA RÍTMICA SOBRE ÁREAS DE RISCO: O CASO DA REGIÃO METROPOLITANA DO RECIFE PARA OS ANOS DE 2000 E 2001

Abstract

A introdução da análise climatologia rítmica acoplada aos estudos de geomorfologia dinâmica permite recuperar a escala e origem dos eventos meteorológicos envolvidos no desencadeamento dos processos de alta magnitude, capazes de interferir diretamente sobre a organização do espaço urbano. A escolha dos anos de 2000 e 2001, considerados respectivamente como úmido e seco em relação à climatologia histórica da Região Metropolitana do Recife permitiu esclarecer que não foi a participação percentual efetiva dos sistemas causadores de chuva que variou sobre a região mas sim a sua intensidade e distribuição. Além disso foi visto que sistemas tradicionalmente apontados como causadores de eventos chuvosos na área, como as frentes frias em estágio de dissipação, tiveram participação modesta na gênese dos eventos chuvosos de maior magnitude, sendo estes majoritariamente condicionados por sistemas de menor escala espacial como os vórtices ciclônicos, linhas de instabilidade de leste e até mesmo sistemas de brisas.
