CLIMATOLOGIA DAS ONDAS DE FRIO INVERNAIS EM SANTA CATARINA - BRASIL

Abstract

Foi desenvolvido um estudo climatológico sobre as ondas de frio invernais em Santa Catarina, Brasil. Considerou-se onda de frio o evento em que a temperatura média diária do ar na superfície estava pelo menos duas vezes o desvio padrão abaixo do valor médio da série, naquele dia, durante dois dias consecutivos ou mais. Os resultados encontrados demonstram que as ondas de frio se distribuem de forma desigual nas regiões agroecológicas catarinenses, apresentando limiares de temperatura diferentes em sua caracterização. O mês de junho se destacou com as maiores ocorrências de ondas de frio e julho apresentou as ondas de frio mais extensas.

Maikon Passos Alves, UFSC

Doutorando do Programa de Pós- Graduação em Geografia pela Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC). Mestre em Geografia pela UFSC, na área de Utilização e Conservação dos Recursos Naturais (UCRN), com linha de pesquisa em Análise Ambiental. Graduado em Geografia (Bacharelado) pela UFSC. Técnico em Meteorologia da Empresa de Pesquisa Agropecuária e Extensão Rural de Santa Catarina. Membro do Grupo de Estudo de Desastres Naturais (GEDN) e do Laboratório de Climatologia Aplicada (LabClima) do Departamento de Geociências da UFSC. Seus estudos e pesquisas são direcionados para Análise Ambiental nos temas da Climatologia, Desastres Socionaturais e teleconexões.

Rosandro Boligon Minuzzi, UFSC

Meteorologista formado pela Universidade Federal de Pelotas (2001), Mestre (2003) e Doutor (2006) em Agronomia (Meteorologia Agrícola) pela Universidade Federal de Viçosa. Atua, principalmente, nas seguintes linhas de pesquisa: agrometeorologia, bioclimatologia animal, climatologia estatística, forçantes climáticas e mudanças climáticas. Atualmente é professor (Adjunto IV) no Departamento da Engenharia Rural, da Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC) e coordenador do Laboratório de Climatologia Agrícola.
