DAS PAREDES DA PEDRA ENCANTADA À CIDADE GRANDE: UMA ANÁLISE SOCIOESPACIAL DA CENA UDIGRUDI NO RECIFE (1972-1975)

Este artigo se encontra no campo da geografia cultural e pretende discorrer um debate teórico sobre a geografia e a música visando compreender as (re)produções do movimento em questão no imaginário simbólico dos espaços, no caso, a cidade do Recife. Sabendo que esse tema ganhe força principalmente no que se refere ao campo da Geografia Humanista, mais precisamente no âmbito da Geografia Cultural, entendemos que para a produção do espaço, estão em jogo os valores culturais e ideológicos do ser humano que irão se expressar na forma, função, estrutura e processo dos objetos espaciais. Não podemos analisar a cultura apenas pela visão abstrata de um sistema de valores e costumes semelhantes de um grupo social e sim como um processo que se materializa no espaço denotando um sentido simbólico e material ao território. Para tal, analisou-se o movimento musical que ocorreu em Pernambuco na década de 1970, denominado Udigrudi, procurando assimilar como a evocação de alguns elementos, ditos, regionais atrelados as manifestações do movimento de características cosmopolitas foram fundamentais para a criação de um novo olhar sobre a cidade do Recife e o Nordeste.
