The Public opinion and INSS Fraud
An analysis of X/Tweet user's feelings about Lula and Bolsonaro

This study investigates public attribution of responsibility for the billion-dollar INSS fraud through the analysis of 4,748 posts on X/Twitter. Mentions of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and former President Jair Messias Bolsonaro were compared using entity-level sentiment analysis, with the BERTimbau neural network model. Results show asymmetric scrutiny, with Lula receiving more negative mentions. The study highlights how neural network methods enhance the understanding of public opinion in political contexts.
