A Arqueologia da Repressão e da Resistência a serviço de uma disciplina arqueológica crítica

O artigo discute de que maneira a arqueologia histórica, o capitalismo e a globalização estão no centro da disciplina arqueológica. Ela é considerada mais do que o estudo da cultura material por conta da globalização. Como exemplo, a arqueologia da repressão e da resistência é introduzida no seu contexto histórico. No Brasil, a arqueologia sofreu bastante, com os humanistas sendo perseguidos, enquanto os arqueólogos que apoiavam o regime controlavam a área. Isso explica o desenvolvimento tardio do seu estudo por aqui. Desde o início do século XXI produziu não apenas evidências arqueológicas, como também abordagens e interpretações inovadoras, levando a um futuro diferente.
