Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The contribution is original and unpublished, and is not being evaluated for publication by another journal; otherwise, it should be justified in "Comments to the editor".
  • The submission file is in Microsoft Word, OpenOffice or RTF format.
  • URLs for referrals were informed when possible.
  • Text is in spacing 1.5; uses italic instead of underlining (except URL addresses); the figures and tables are inserted in the text, not at the end of the document in the form of attachments.
  • The text follows the style standards and bibliographic requirements described in the Guidelines for Authors, on the About the Journal page.
  • In case of submission to a peer-reviewed section (e.g., articles), the instructions available to ensure blind peer evaluation were followed.
  • After the article's approval, no author will be allowed to be included.
  • To send the article, all authors must be registered on the CBR website.
  • Authors must provide the ORCID number at the time of submission.
  • Authors need to contribute to the journal by participating in the peer review process.
  • If necessary, authors must provide retractions or corrections for errors.
  • Authors need to inform the list of references and the financial support received to carry out the research.
  • Texts can be submitted in Portuguese and English. However, for articles submitted in Portuguese, if the article is approved, the authors will have to send a translated version into English at the end of the evaluation process.

Author Guidelines

Guidelines for Authors

- To send the article, all authors must be registered on the CBR website.

- Articles must be submitted online, through the CBR website.

- Articles submitted must be unpublished and should not be in the process of being evaluated in another scientific journal.

- Articles published in Conference Proceedings or in Preprint Repositories can be submitted for evaluation (this publication is not considered a break of originality).

- Texts can be submitted in Portuguese and English. However, for articles submitted in Portuguese, if the article is approved, the authors will have to send a translated version into English at the end of the evaluation process.

- A maximum of five authors per article are allowed. In exceptional cases, depending on the effective participation of all co-authors, six authors will be authorized.

- Each author or co-author can only submit up to two articles per year for evaluation. Furthermore, authors can only have two articles being evaluated simultaneously.

- The structure of the article should include, whenever possible: Introduction, Literature Review, Method, Results, Conclusion, Acknowledgment, Declaration of interest statement (whether or not there is a conflict of interest), References, and Appendix (if necessary).

- The title of the article must be written in Portuguese and English and must contain a maximum of 14 words.

- The abstract should also be written in Portuguese and English and should have a maximum of 200 words.

- The abstract must be organized as a structured abstract, following the format described below:

The keywords - at least three and a maximum of five - should also be written in Portuguese and English.

- The article should be written in Times New Roman font, size 12, spacing 1,5. The page is A4 paper (29.7 x 21 cm), with upper and left margins measuring 3 cm and bottom and right measuring 2 cm. The file must be in Microsoft Word format.

- Explanatory notes, if they are extremely necessary for the understanding of ideas, should be used at the end of the text, after References.

- Frames, tables, graphics, and illustrations should have the font in size 10.

- Articles must have a minimum of 6.000 and a maximum of 9.000 words.

- The citations and references must comply with the standards of the APA - American Psychological Association.

- Authors must provide the ORCID number at the time of submission. Note: HTTPS is to be inserted without the 'S', only HTTP. For example http://orcid.org/0000-0001-9888-8359

- Authors need to contribute to the journal by participating in the peer review process.

- All authors must necessarily have contributed to the research.

- If necessary, authors must provide retractions or corrections for errors.

- About Open Data. If the article is approved, and when applicable, it is suggested that the authors make the database available for consultation by the academic community. For this, the authors need to inform the platform that the data will be available.
