Abstract

Conforme os organizadores de Assim Caminhou a Humanidade, o Laboratório de Estudos Evolutivos Humanos do Instituto de Biociências da Universidade de São Paulo seria o único no Brasil, em 2015, capaz de sanar a carência de publicações em português mais atualizadas sobre o tema da evolução humana. O ensino da Biologia, Antropologia, Arqueologia no nível da graduação e a divulgação científica ao grande público, seriam o foco desta publicação. A partir de um curso de pósgraduação e da disponibilidade de réplicas de hominínios da coleção Thomas Van der Lann, foi proposto o plano deste livro, onde os alunos também protagonizaram seus subtemas.
