This article entitled An Alternative Afghan Education Project: The Silent Revolution of Sakena Yacoobi and Parallels with Paulo Freire proposes to synthesize the trajectory of both educators in their struggle against oppressive regimes. Sakena implemented in Afghanistan in the mid-1990s a network of clandestine schools for girls in the then extremist government of the Taliban, and Paulo Freire faced the Brazilian military dictatorship in the 1960s, he had his National Education Plan aborted because it was considered subversive and a threat to national sovereignty. Both educators, in their respective pedagogical methodologies, despite their specificities, sought to foster in the students a critical awareness of the reality in which they were inserted, with the ultimate aim of transforming society. This research will start from 9 fundamental analysis categories of Paulo Freire's work, comparing them with the discourse and practice of Sakena Yacoobi. The qualitative bibliographic research that finds in Cervo and Bervian one of its main exponents will guide this study.
