A NEBULOSIDADE COMO FATOR CONDICIONANTE À PERCEPÇÃO DA PLUVIOMETRIA ANUAL PELA POPULAÇÃO URBANA E RURAL DE SÃO SEBASTIÃO DO CAÍ/RS

No Rio Grande do Sul, o inverno é apontado pela população como a época do ano que mais chove. Para comprovar ou não essa percepção ambiental, fez-se fundamentação teórica sobre percepção climática e dinâmica atmosférica no Estado e estabeleceu-se como objetivo dessa pesquisa analisar a nebulosidade nas estações do ano e sua influência no processo de percepção pluviométrica pela população, já que a distribuição da precipitação no RS é relativamente homogênea durante o ano. Entrevistou-se moradores do meio rural e urbano do município de São Sebastião do Caí/RS para indicação da estação mais chuvosa, e foram analisados os dados diários de nebulosidade e precipitação, de 1971 a 2000, da Estação Meteorológica de Santa Maria/RS, para identificação da estação do ano com maior nebulosidade. Como a nebulosidade é classificada em décimos de céu coberto, foram definidos três intervalos iguais para tabulação. Tanto no meio rural quanto no urbano do Município, o inverno foi indicado como a estação mais chuvosa, porém a análise dos dados meteorológicos comprovou que no inverno há maior nebulosidade mas não maior volume de chuvas, influenciando no processo de percepção da pluviometria sazonal frente à diminuição da insolação no inverno.
