Vetores de Pressão sobre a Unidade de Conservação de Proteção Integral: A Estação Ecológica de Aiuaba, Ceará, Brasil (Vectors of Pressure on a full Protection Conservation Unit: The Aiuaba Ecological Station, Ceará, Brazil)

A Estação Ecológica de Aiuaba possui uma área de 11.525 hectares e apresenta grande valor ecológico, além de concentrar em seu território um exemplar de remanescente da caatinga arbórea, em um ótimo grau de conservação. Embora, prevista na Lei 9.985, que institui o Sistema Nacional de Unidade de Conservação, a Estação não dispõe de zona de amortecimento e corredor ecológico, o que implica o mau uso dos recursos em seu entorno. Dentre os vetores de pressão sobre a unidade destaca-se como principais a agricultura e a pastagem. A análise de áreas protegidas está em pauta nos discursos das comunidades acadêmicas, profissionais, empresas e civis e também está disposto na legislação ambiental. Podem representar importantes estratégias para a conservação e/ou preservação dos recursos naturais. A execução da pesquisa tem contribuído para o aumento do conhecimento sobre a Estação Ecológica de Aiuaba, gerando subsidio a outros estudos ambientais. Os resultados podem contribuir para a criação de novas unidades, podendo englobar a finalidade de proteção das áreas sujeitas a degradações, principalmente no município de Aiuaba ou nos demais municípios da região semiárida do Estado do Ceará. Salienta-se que o marco temporal do objeto compreende os dias atuais.
