Abstract

This film is an integral part of the Bachelor's Degree in Anthropology "Cinema in the valley of Mamanguape: anthropological approaches" by José Muniz Falcão Neto. Advisor: João Martinho de Mendonça.

During two years of research, he searches for stories that tell the story of the old cinemas of the region, despite the years that have passed, still alive in the local imagination and well remembered at the golden age of the valley. The film approaches the collective memories related to the cinema in the valley of the Mamanguape-PB.

Specifically, we worked with two specific cinemas in the region, the Cine Teatro Eldorado and Cine Teatro Orion, respectively located in the cities of Mamanguape-PB and Rio Tinto-PB. Starting from the direct cinema and the shared anthropology, the short one presents / displays diverse personages reporting their experiences and experiences within the cinemas of the region.
