cidade do Recife, vazio urbano, mortes por Covid-19Abstract
In face of the countless deaths resulted from the covid-19 pandemic, Fiocruz came to refer to it as the biggest health crisis in the history of Brazil, and this essay seeks to record a unique moment in public health, where the dismay of deaths, the difficult recovery and mass unemployment, returns Brazil to the map of hunger and the daily misery that we can observe in the city of Recife, only highlighting the impression that our political institutions collapsed in the face of responsibility for public health, when we see the intensification of doing nothing as government policy.
