MORBIMORTALIDADE MASCULINA POR CAUSAS EXTERNAS NO BRASIL: 2009-2018

Resumo

Objetivo: descrever o perfil epidemiológico referente à morbimortalidade masculina devido a causas externas e sua relação com o gênero como ferramenta de análise e discussão de políticas públicas. Método: trata-se de um estudo quantitativo, descritivo, explicativo, epidemiológico, utilizando dados públicos secundários obtidos por meio do SIH/SIM/DATASUS. Coletaram-se dados a partir de parâmetros fixos quanto ao sexo e à faixa etária da população de interesse. Escolheu-se, no que diz respeito à faixa etária, o período entre 20-59 anos de idade. Realizou-se a análise descritiva dos dados referentes aos indicadores epidemiológicos e de morbidade. Resultados: constitui-se, pelas causas externas de morbimortalidade, a principal causa de morte em homens no período de 2009 a 2018, sendo elas mais prevalentes em adultos jovens, solteiros e com baixo nível de escolaridade. Conclusão: torna-se necessário discutir como a masculinidade hegemônica impacta sobre esses indicadores de saúde, propondo uma revisão de políticas de saúde por meio de estratégias voltadas a dimensões da integralidade e equidade relacionadas ao gênero.
