TIPOS FUNCIONAIS VEGETAIS EM UM FRAGMENTO SOMBREADO DE MATA ATLÂNTICA, PERNAMBUCO
Abstract
A diversidade vegetal dos remanescentes da área original de Mata Atlântica se justifica pelo sucesso no estabelecimento dos vegetais. Isto se deve à relação entre a forma e função de seus órgãos, permitindo que as plantas façam ajustes morfoanatômicos em resposta às condições às quais estão submetidas. O tipo funcional vegetal (TFV) é definido como um grupo de vegetais que mostram alguns processos ou caracteres similares quando sob um mesmo ambiente. Para a identificação do TFV estabelecido sob o dossel das árvores de uma Mata Atlântica do Horto Zoobotânico de Dois Irmãos, em Recife PE, foram usados cinco transectos de 10 m de comprimento com 10 m de distância entre eles. As amostras vegetais entre 0,20 e 2 m de altura foram coletadas e analisadas no laboratório para verificar a morfologia foliar e para medir o comprimento, a largura e a área da lâmina foliar. Agrupamentos de Sorensen foram organizados em dois grandes grupos com a área da folha como um limitante entre eles. Este padrão parece ser uma ferramenta útil que minimiza os efeitos negativos da pouca luz disponível para estas plantas.Downloads
