O PROCESSO DE OCUPAÇÃO E URBANIZAÇÃO DE RONDÔNIA: UMA ANÁLISE DAS TRANSFORMAÇÕES SOCIAIS E ESPACIAIS
Abstract
A região amazônica se apresenta ao longo de sua história de formação territorial e humana, sempre atrelada a interesses externos a população que a compõe, fator associado a sua diversidade natural sempre muito requisitada. Sendo assim a análise do processo de urbanização da Amazônia precisa estar associado às políticas que viabilizaram a ocupação nessa região, políticas estas envolvidas por uma ideologia que facilitou o processo. A formação espacial de Rondônia está incluída dentro do pacote de metas e políticas governamentais que visavam à exploração e o desenvolvimento da Amazônia como um todo, porém, o processo de colonização de Rondônia se constituiu como uma particularidade, pois se caracterizou por ser de natureza totalmente oficial. Dentro desse contexto este artigo visa analisar as políticas responsáveis pelo ordenamento territorial de Rondônia e suas espacialidades construídas, que trouxeram a região problemas ainda muito presentes, e que continuam a se repetir.
