COMPARAÇÃO DA CARGA GEOQUÍMICA E EM SUSPENSÃO TRANSPORTADA POR CURSOS FLUVIAIS QUE DRENAM QUARTZITOS E GRANITO-GNAISSE NA REGIÃO DO PLANALTO DE DIAMANTINA/ MG: RESULTADOS PRELIMINARES
Abstract
O artigo tem por objetivo reconhecer, de forma preliminar, qual dentre estes dois fatores ambientais: área da bacia ou diversidade litológica – é mais importante na determinação das taxas denudacionais em termos de carga dissolvida e sedimentos finos no Espinhaço Meridional/MG na região do Planalto de Diamantina. Para tanto foram mensuradas estas cargas em sete cursos fluviais que drenam bacias com área diversa – entre 8,28 e 1308,53 km2 – e com diferentes substratos: quartzitos ou granitos-gnaisses. Os resultados obtidos revelam que a área da bacia hidrográfica é o fator que controla a denudação mensurada nos cursos fluviais da região investigada. Neste contexto, as bacias de cabeceira – menor área e maior declividade - apresentaram taxas de denudação muito superiores do que aquelas com maior área e que drenam áreas próximas ao nível de base.Downloads
