SIMULAÇÕES DE MORFOLOGIA FLUVIAL E RECUPERAÇÃO DE HABITATS AQUÁTICOS EM CÓRREGOS DA REGIÃO OESTE DO PARANÁ
Abstract
O presente trabalho relata os resultados preliminares de uma pesquisa experimental que visa recriar soleiras e depressões no leito fluvial em córregos da região oeste do Paraná. O experimento se baseia na inserção de estacas de madeira, objetivando a recriação de soleiras a partir da acumulação de sedimentos. As estacas foram instaladas em fevereiro de 2010. Este trabalho mostra a variação da morfologia do canal e da fauna de macroinvertebrados entre fevereiro e abril de 2010. Neste curto período tempo, caracterizado por uma razoável estiagem, foi detectado o inicio da formação de soleiras nos trechos instrumentalizados e a geração de depressão logo à jusante. Quanto a população de macroinvertebrados notou-se o predomínio de organismos sensíveis (Ephemeroptera, Plecoptera e Trichoptera) no córrego Quati, localizado numa unidade de conservação e a abundancia de organismos das classes Hirudíneas, Oligochaeta e Insecta nos córregos situados em bacias com pouca ou nenhuma vegetação original. A efetividade da instalação das estacas visando a recriação de micro-habitats no leito do canal e sua repercussão sobre a fauna bentônica, só poderá ser confirmada com a continuidade do monitoramento.Downloads
