EFEITOS DA ASSOCIAÇÃO DE EVENTOS DE ENOS e ODP SOBRE O ESTADO DO CEARÁ
Abstract
A região metropolitana de Fortaleza e região do Cariri cearense, no Estado do Ceará, situam-se no nordeste do Brasil (NEB), que, por sua vez, é conhecido por apresentar em alguns anos secas severas ou chuvas excessivas, as quais têm sido relacionadas aos padrões anômalos de grande escala da circulação atmosférica global associados ao fenômeno El Niño-Oscilação Sul e em algumas vezes, a Oscilação Decadal do Pacífico. O objetivo principal desse trabalho, com caráter inédito para a região, é verificar como a junção desses eventos climáticos pode influenciar na variabilidade pluviométrica das regiões metropolitana de Fortaleza (RMF) e do Cariri (RC), consideradas as duas principais regiões do Estado do Ceará. Na junção de ENOS e ODP, a região metropolitana de Fortaleza segue os padrões já estabelecidos por Gershunov e Barnett (1998), não observado para o Cariri. Deste modo, no Estado do Ceará, regiões distintas como no sul do Estado (Cariri) e no litoral (Fortaleza) apresentam diferentes efeitos da junção de ENOS e ODP.Downloads
