TRABALHO E REESTRUTURAÇÃO DA AGRICULTURA ÁREAS DE FRONTEIRA DA SOJA NO SUL DO MARANHÃO
Abstract
Análise da reestruturação do trabalho em áreas de expansão da moderna agricultura da soja no sul do Estado do Maranhão. A partir do método do materialismo histórico-dialético, partimos da análise de dados do Ministério do Trabalho e Emprego (MTE) e do Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estatística (IBGE) e de pesquisa de campo em três dos municípios principais da região produtiva agrícola do sul do Maranhão, Balsas, Tasso Fragoso e São Raimundo das Mangabeiras. A expansão da moderna agricultura capitalista da soja no sul do estado está associada a utilização de técnicas avançadas de plantio, e que tem base na subordinação da ciência pelo modo de produção vigente. Estas técnicas exigem um trabalhador mais qualificado nas atividades da agricultura moderna, fazendo com que o mercado de trabalho criado nessas regiões tenha um perfil de exclusão da mão de obra liberada do campo por proletarização e também da mão de obra que chega a região, atraída pelo discurso modernizador, servindo como exército industrial de reserva e sendo funcionais no processo de acumulação capitalista, rebaixando salários e sendo empregados em serviços precarizados.
