EVOLUÇÃO DO USO DA TERRA NA BACIA HIDROGRÁFICA DO RIO VIEIRA, MONTES CLAROS, MG
Abstract
As geotecnologias têm sido amplamente empregadas em estudos de alterações na paisagem. O conhecimento do uso e cobertura da terra é considerado fundamental na reversão de um ambiente degradado. Neste sentido, o objetivo deste trabalho foi analisar o processo de evolução do uso e ocupação da terra na bacia hidrográfica do Rio Vieira, localizada no município de Montes Claros, Minas Gerais. Para tanto, uma análise temporal foi realizada utilizando imagens do satélite TM/LANDSAT, nos anos de 1990, 1995, 2000 e 2005. Quatro classes foram identificadas: Área urbana, Vegetação Natural/Reflorestamento, Área agrícola/Pastagem e Solo exposto. Fez-se uso das probabilidades de transição entre as classes em questão, obtidas pela Cadeia de Markov. Na análise da evolução, projetou-se, para um intervalo de 100 anos, o possível comportamento de todas as classes nas combinações dos anos de 1990-2005, 1995-2005 e 2000-2005. As projeções revelaram uma tendência de redução para as atividades agropecuárias assim como da classe Vegetação. Identificou-se um aumento da Área urbana, com crescimento pronunciado quando comparado as demais classes, assim como maior demora em atingir seu ponto de equilíbrio. A tendência de crescimento do Solo exposto revela-se preocupante do ponto de vista ambiental no que se tange a degradação da terra.Downloads
