MORFOLOGIA URBANA E ILHAS DE CALOR NA CIDADE DO RECIFE/PE: DISTRIBUIÇÃO ESPACIAL E INTENSIDADE
Abstract
As elevadas taxas de urbanização evidenciada nas cidades nas últimas décadas imprime uma nova conotação no uso do solo, refletindo em redução de áreas verdes, aumento do adensamento construtivo, elementos importantes no surgimento das ilhas de calor. Partindo de uma análise do canal termodinâmico proposto por Monteiro, onde as modificações exercidas no espaço interagem com a atmosfera, o trabalho em tela objetivou analisar a distribuição espacial e a intensidade das ilhas de calor na cidade do Recife relacionando-as com as feições da morfologia urbana. Foram utilizados dados de temperatura do ar, obtidos através de nove termohigrômetros com datalogger, instalados em áreas distintas da cidade, assim como dados do INMET, usada como estação de referência. A pesquisa se dividiu em duas partes, a primeira série de dados com extensão temporal de 68 dias, contemplando 5 sítios, enquanto a segunda série com extensão de 32 dias em 9 sítios. Os resultados encontrados apontaram a configuração urbana da cidade com grande contribuição na formação de ilhas de calor, principalmente no eixo com maior predomínio de construções verticais na faixa litorânea, influenciando diretamente as temperaturas das estações ao oeste da linha de prédios durante o período diurno, e ao leste, durante o período noturno. As menores temperaturas foram registradas na estação de referência, situada em uma área com fragmentos de mata e baixa densidade urbana. A morfologia dessa área serviu como importante parâmetro de comparação, elucidando pistas da influência que tais características podem promover na mitigação das ilhas de calor em grandes cidades.
