Abstract

A insegurança, a violência e a efemeridade com a qual os espaços são consumidos e descartados, são características do momento atual, no qual ganha destaque o multiculturalismo e a diversidade, enquanto que, antagonicamente, percebemos uma sociedade de exclusão, indiferença e estranhamento, com espaços que se reproduzem através de territorialidades fechadas e avessas aos estranhos e diferentes. São tais antagonismos que discutimos na produção dos eventos realizados em Campina Grande - PB no período do carnaval, que aparentemente é uma prova de civilidade entre religiões e culturas, mas que na prática configura-se em territórios de tolerância, mas não de inclusão.
