ZONA RURAL DE OLINDA (PE): ASPECTOS DA ATIVIDADE AGROPECUÁRIA NO FINAL DO SÉCULO XX
Abstract
Este artigo não é, simplesmente, uma descrição acerca dos aspectos da atividade agropecuária na Zona Rural de Olinda (PE). Ele tem como objetivo refletir acerca dessa atividade, inserida nos limites de uma área cujo processo de produção do espaço envolveu agentes como agricultores, empresas, Poder Público local, etc. Recriada em 1983, por legislação municipal, a Zona Rural, ao mesmo tempo em que representava o desafio da manutenção de uma prática espacial ligada ao campo, em dois setores da cidade, objetivava, ecologicamente, conservar, aí, sua maior área verde, em detrimento da expansão física. Com o decorrer dos anos, um novo conteúdo vem sendo incorporado àquela antiga forma e os processos atuais, que promovem sua transformação, continuam atrelados à constituição da aglomeração metropolitana.Downloads
