FACES ATUAIS DO ESPAÇO COMERCIAL EM CAMPINA GRANDE/PB: ALGUMAS CONSIDERAÇÕES SOBRE A COEXISTÊNCIA DE FORMAS MODERNAS E TRADICIONAIS DO COMÉRCIO NA “NOVA” DINÂMICA SÓCIO-ESPACIAL
Abstract
Este artigo analisa as faces atuais do espaço comercial na cidade de Campina Grande/PB: novas formas espaciais do comércio varejista (supermercados, shopping centers, redes de lojas, etc.) frente à permanência de formas do pequeno comércio popular (bodegas, mercearias, etc.). A expansão dessas novas formas do comércio e consumo ocorre de acordo com a lógica comercial atual do capitalismo. A criação e instalação de inovações no setor varejista contribuem também para a dinâmica sócio-espacial cada vez mais complexa dos serviços urbanos, suscitando novas re-configurações também do pequeno comércio situado nos espaços comerciais populares da cidade. Desse modo, neste contexto de inovações e adaptações no espaço urbano campinense, observa-se a coexistência de diferentes formas espaciais num processo global de produção espacial coerente com fins cada vez mais especulativos e estranhos ao lugar.Downloads
