IDENTIFICAÇÃO DAS ÁREAS DE CONFLITO DE USO DA TERRA NA MICROBACIA DO RIACHO DO TRONCO, BOA VISTA, PB
Abstract
Tendo em vista o risco à desertificação que ameaça o Semi-árido brasileiro decorrente, sobretudo, das ações antrópicas desencadeadas pelo uso/ocupação das terras de forma não consonante com sua vocação natural, esta pesquisa propõe, a partir da subdivisão da microbacia do Riacho do Tronco, Boa Vista, PB em oito sub-microbacias, a identificar as formas de uso/ocupação atual e as aptidões individuais, identificando as áreas de conflitos de uso na microbacia como um todo, subsidiando o ordenamento territorial e minimizando os riscos à desertificação. Fazendo-se uso de técnicas de geoprocessamento e trabalho de campo, foram calculadas as classes de uso atual e os parâmetros que permitiram estabelecer o Coeficiente de Rugosidade, segundo metodologia adaptada no Brasil por Rocha (1997), possibilitando a identificação das áreas em conflitos de uso. Os resultados demonstraram que o uso/ocupação atual, representado, sobretudo pela agricultura e pecuária extensiva, não está em consonância com a aptidão natural de algumas sub-microbacias, pois de acordo com os parâmetros da metodologia, apenas quatro são aptas para agricultura, três para pecuária/florestamento e uma apenas para florestamento. A partir do exposto, evidenciam-se conflitos em 33,70% da microbacia, tornando o ambiente propenso à desertificação, requerendo investimentos em manejo para mitigar os impactos ambientais identificados.Downloads
