AVALIÇÃO DO POTENCIAL EÓLICO EM CINCO REGIÕES DO ESTADO DA PARAÍBA.
Abstract
Neste trabalho foram utilizados dados horários de velocidade e direção do vento a 10 m de altura de cinco estações climatológicas pertencentes ao Instituto Nacional de Meteorologia, no período de janeiro de 1977 a dezembro de 1981. As estações são: São Gonçalo, Monteiro, Patos, Campina Grande e João Pessoa. O objetivo foi estudar a variação da velocidade e direção do vento, bem como determinar a densidade de potência eólica das estações selecionadas. Para tanto, identificou-se o perfil do vento para alturas a 50 m e 110 m e, a partir daí, os parâmetros da distribuição de Weibull para a determinação da densidade de potência eólica anual média. Concluiu-se que a direção predominante nas cinco estações é de leste com variações entre nordeste e sudeste. A região com maior potencial eólico é verificada em Campina Grande com bons resultados de densidade de potência eólica, enquanto que em São Gonçalo se mostrou com baixos valores.Downloads
