CARTA DE SENSIBILIDADE ARQUEOLÓGICA: BREVE INTRODUÇÃO AOS ESTUDOS DE PADRÕES DE ASSENTAMENTO DE POPULAÇÕES PRÉ-COLONIAIS NA UHE JIRAU – RONDÔNIA, BRASIL

Abstract

Este trabalho compõe parte das atividades desenvolvidas no Programa de Gestão do Patrimônio Arqueológico, Histórico e Cultural da Usina Hidrelétrica (UHE) Jirau, no Estado de Rondônia, Brasil, com a participação da empresa Documento Arqueologia e Antropologia e coordenação da L.D. Erika Robrahn-Gonzalez. Visando orientar as prospecções arqueológicas na Área de Influência Direta da UHE Jirau, foi construído um modelo preditivo em Arqueologia, denominado Carta de Sensibilidade Arqueológica. Para tanto, foram consideradas variáveis físico-paisagísticas que têm reflexo no padrão de assentamento de populações pré-coloniais. A análise dessas variáveis auxilia na indicação de regiões com maior probabilidade de localização de sítios arqueológicos, bem como testa a validade desta modalidade de documentação cartográfica para a Arqueologia. Como resultados, apresentam-se os sítios arqueológicos encontrados na área de estudo, relacionando-os com os condicionantes paisagísticos envolvidos na construção da Carta de Sensibilidade.
