Abstract

O respectivo trabalho teve como objetivo a análise das áreas susceptíveis à erosão da bacia hidrográfica do rio Manhuaçuzinho da cidade de Manhuaçu-MG. A bacia se encontra sobre uma área onde o intemperismo é um fator muito característico devido às condições climáticas , o tipo de solo e o uso e ocupação a qual está submetida. A partir da análise de imagens de satélites, elaboração de mapas e análises de campo, foram identificados as seguintes classes de susceptibilidade à erosão dos solos: Altíssimo Risco de Erosão do Solo, Médio/Alto Risco de Erosão, Médio Risco à Erosão, Baixo Riso à erosão. A partir destas informaçõs, chegou-se a conclusão de que algumas medidas como o cultivo em nível e em terraços, a recuperação das estradas no interior dos cafeeiros, a implantação de redes de drenagens, recuperação das áreas degradadas, implantação de cobertura arbórea nas áreas de preservação permanente dentre outras, diminuiria a susceptibilidade sobre a bacia.
