O USO DE VARIÁVEIS GEOMORFOLÓGICAS NO ESTUDO DA SUSCETIBILIDADE À OCORRÊNCIA DE INCÊNDIOS NO ESTADO DO RIO DE JANEIRO
Abstract
Os diversos remanescentes florestais de Mata Atlântica presentes no Estado do Rio de Janeiro vêm sofrendo cada vez mais com pressões antrópicas. As ações mais freqüentes estão relacionadas tanto com os desmatamentos provenientes de ocupações, quanto os incêndios florestais causados pelos maus cuidados na conservação do bioma. Tendo em vista essa realidade, procurou-se elaborar um mapeamento da suscetibilidade à ocorrência de incêndios para o Estado do Rio de Janeiro, em uma escala de 1:100.000. Para tanto foram confeccionados mapas de elementos estruturais e funcionais que subsidiaram a construção de um modelo resultante analítico-integrativo de suscetibilidade, contemplando os períodos anual, seco e úmido. Os mapeamentos gerados apontaram as áreas de maior suscetibilidade á ocorrência de incêndios e posteriormente, foi realizada a validação destes a partir dos dados do sensor MODIS. Estes dados foram separados de acordo com os períodos dos mapas de suscetibilidade desenvolvidos, sendo que no período anual e seco houve um alto percentual de acerto na alta susceptibilidade e no período úmido o percentual foi mais representativo na classe de média susceptibilidade. Espera-se que os resultados deste estudo sirvam de subsídio para o planejamento e combate aos incêndios florestais no Estado do Rio de Janeiro.Downloads
