ESTRUTURA DE ROCHAS METASSEDIMENTARES E VULNERABILIDADE AOS MOVIMENTOS DE MASSA – BACIA DO CÓRREGO DO CERCADINHO, BELO HORIZONTE-MG
Abstract
Movimentos de massa catastróficos geram altos custos quanto à realocação de estruturas, obras de contenção, perda de produtividade industrial, agrícola e florestal, de potencial turístico e de vias de transporte. Na paisagem há áreas com diferente potencial de risco aos movimentos de massa. Os principais condicionantes naturais da instabilidade de encostas são a declividade, a forma e a área de contribuição das vertentes, a estrutura do regolito e as propriedades do solo. Na bacia do Cercadinho, como na maior parte da zona sul de Belo Horizonte, a vulnerabilidade aos movimentos de massa é fortemente condicionada pela estrutura das rochas metassedimentares do Quadrilátero Ferrífero, combinada com declividades acentuadas. Este estudo se propõe a investigar as vulnerabilidades naturais para movimentos de massa levando em consideração: declividade; correlação entre a direção de mergulho das camadas e orientação das vertentes; e correlação entre o ângulo de mergulho das camadas e declividade das vertentes. Foram utilizadas bases geológicas e topográficas tratadas com os softwares Arcgis e Mapinfo. O resultado foram mapas identificando áreas de maior e menor risco. As de maior risco correspondem, geralmente, às áreas em que as vertentes se orientam para SE e onde a declividade é elevada.Downloads
