MELHORIA DO MAPEAMENTO DE SOLOS DA ESCALA 1:100.000 PARA 1:25.000 COM BASE EM ESTUDOS MORFOLÓGICOS NA BACIA DO RIO NATUBA – PE
Abstract
Os levantamentos pedológicos congregam inúmeras informações sobre os recursos de solos e são essenciais para avaliação do potencial e das limitações das terras. Tais estudos armazenam um elevado número de dados que variam de acordo com a escala, tanto em qualidade como em quantidade. O objetivo deste trabalho foi gerar dados, em termos de caracterização, classificação, cartografia e quantificação de solos com base em seus atributos morfológicos nas diferentes paisagens. A área de estudo está inserida na bacia do rio Natuba localizada na Zona da Mata Centro de Pernambuco, em Vitória de Santo Antão. Para efetivação do mapeamento na escala de semi-detalhe foi realizado um reconhecimento morfológico dos solos percorrendo-se as principais vias de acesso na área de estudo. Os dados morfológicos foram anotados em fichas apropriadas e os pontos examinados foram georreferenciados. As informações obtidas no campo e as bases cartográficas utilizadas foram armazenadas no formato digital em um SIG. O trabalho de reconhecimento morfológico de solos no campo resultou em um mapa pedológico preliminar que melhorou significativamente a qualidade e a quantidade de informações em relação aos estudos anteriores. A partir dessa nova base de dados será possível extrair informações para o planejamento de uso, manejo e conservação das terras com critérios de sustentabilidade na área estudada.Downloads
