MAPEAMENTO DOS USOS DO SOLO EXISTENTES EM ÁREA DE RECARGA DE AQUÍFERO LOCALIZADO EM SANTA MARIA/RS
Abstract
Nas zonas de recarga de aquífero, a forma mais eficaz de proteger os mananciais hídricos subterrâneos da sua possível poluição e garantir a sua recarga com qualidade e quantidade é através da sua proteção de forma a estabelecer restrições de uso e ocupação do solo. Neste contexto, identificou-se os usos do solo existentes na área de recarga do Aquífero Arenito Basal Santa Maria através da análise de imagens de satélite, saídas a campo para reconhecimento da área de estudo e mapeamento da área. Assim, verificou-se a existência de áreas adequadamente utilizadas, isto é, de acordo com o que prevê a legislação municipal de Santa Maria sobre o uso do solo, mas também áreas de usos inadequados, considerando que esta é uma área protegida por configurar-se em área de recarga natural de aquífero.
