PERFIL SOCIOAMBIENTAL E ESTIMATIVA DO POTENCIAL PARA A CAPTAÇÃO DE ÁGUA DA CHUVA EM CATOLÉ DE CASINHAS, PE
Abstract
A carência de recursos hídricos no semiárido pernambucano, associada a um regime irregular na quantidade e na distribuição de chuvas aponta na captação de água da chuva uma alternativa viável para mitigar a escassez. Essa razão justificou a necessidade de um estudo estatístico da série pluvial, visando estabelecer às principais características do regime pluvial e do potencial para a captação na comunidade, bem como o perfil socioambiental da população. Os principais resultados mostraram que a estação chuvosa ocorre entre março e julho e chove o equivalente a 68,9% do total anual. O volume potencial mediano de captação de água da chuva foi de 27 mil litros para uma superfície de 60 m2. O perfil socioambiental mostrou que em 40,6% dos domicílios residem entre 4 e 6 pessoas e a agricultura é atividade principal. 86,6% não têm o primeiro grau e 47,2% da renda familiar provém de aposentadoria do INSS. A água da chuva é armazenada, em caixas d’água de 150 litros, em 48% dos domicílios, e não há cisterna em 70% desses. 98,1% da comunidade acreditam que a captação de água da chuva é a melhor alternativa para mitigar a escassez de água.Downloads
