A VISÃO DO RIO CAPIBARIBE POR ALUNOS DA ESCOLA DO RECIFE, PERNAMBUCO
Abstract
A relação homem-natureza é retratada por uma crise vivenciada ao longo dos anos devido ao modelo de apropriação capitalista adotado pelo homem na exploração dos recursos naturais. O rio Capibaribe reflete os danos causados por este modelo apresentando em sua realidade graves problemas de poluição, desmatamento das áreas de mata ciliar e ocupação em suas margens. Desta forma, a prática da educação ambiental nas escolas torna-se fundamental devido à necessidade do agir enquanto instrumento educativo para melhoria do meio ambiente. Conhecer como estes espaços contemplam a educação ambiental respeitando o seu contexto local torna-se necessário para a eficácia das ações de melhoria e conservação dos recursos naturais. O objetivo do presente trabalho pretende revelar o olhar do alunado da Escola do Recife no contexto das atividades de educação ambiental do rio Capibaribe visando à reflexão da eficácia destas ações para uma educação ambiental participativa. O estudo demonstra as possibilidades e os desafios das ações pontuais de educação ambiental para uma gestão ambiental participativa no local.
