A FESTA DA CHIQUITA: ESPAÇO SAGRADO E PROFANO NA FÉ-STA DO CÍRIO DE NAZARÉ – BELÉM-PA
Abstract
Com a participação de mais de dois milhões de pessoas, o Círio de Nazaré, realizado na cidade de Belém do Pará, atrai atenção de diversas partes do Brasil e do mundo pela extrema manifestação de fé de seus participantes. Porém, durante a sua história e até hoje, o Círio não se desenvolveu distante de conflitos e tensões, sendo atualmente a Festa da Chiquita a principal subversão aos interesses religiosos da Igreja, sobretudo, por ser um evento realizado por homossexuais. Assim, nosso objetivo neste trabalho visa compreender quais as estratégias territoriais utilizadas por estes agentes que simbolizam o sagrado e o profano, para se apropriar do espaço. A partir da revisão bibliográfica acerca do tema e realização de entrevistas nos trabalhos de campo, percebemos que mudar o local da festa da chiquita é tirar o sentido da mesma, visto à sua importância está associada à alteridade sagrada que é a fé-sta do Círio. Dessa forma, permanecer no seu território, torna-se uma resistência necessária à sua manifestação a partir da festa.Downloads
