MAPEAMENTO GEOAMBIENTAL DA ZONA COSTEIRA DOS MUNICÍPIOS DE MARAÚ E CAMAMU - BA
Abstract
O presente trabalho tem o objetivo de mapear a zona costeira dos municípios de Maraú e Camamu, localizados na região Sul do Estado da Bahia, a partir da aplicação de técnicas de Mapeamento Geoambiental, enfatizando, principalmente, a identificação das fragilidades ambientais e dos processos de degradação ambiental presentes. Para tanto, a metodologia adotada tem suas atividades embasadas no conhecimento dos atributos do meio físico da área, aliada ao mapeamento das tipologias de uso e ocupação do solo. Dessa forma, cada uma das Unidades Geoambientais mapeadas terá caracterizado seus atributos e analisados perante as suas fragilidades potencial e ambiental de acordo com a proposta metodológica que exprime, de certa forma, potencialidades e limitações do meio físico, frente às imposições das tipologias de uso e ocupação distribuídas na área. Os resultados obtidos atestam o cenário em que foram discriminadas cinco unidades geoambientais, a saber: I - Pântanos e Mangues, II – Planícies flúvio-lagunares, III - Planície costeira, IV - Sedimentos do Grupo Barreiras e sedimentos mesozóicos da Bacia de Camamu e unidade V - Embasamento Cristalino. Com relação as fragilidades ambientais mapeadas, cerca de 47,5% da área em estudo apresenta fragilidade ambiental classificada como de alta a muito alta, 48,27% de média fragilidade e, 4,2% de baixa fragilidade. De forma geral as fragilidades ambientais associam-se as características do meio físico, a exemplo do substrato rochoso predominantemente sedimentar e arenoso, contribuindo para a susceptibilidade a erosão, aliados as características da cobertura vegetal e de uso e ocupação do solo, a exemplo de tipologias de manguezais, apicuns e mata de restinga.Downloads
