Earth surface temperature analysis using satellite images

The green areas are of great importance in maintaining the Earth's Surface Temperature (TST). Based on this concern, the present paper aims to analyze the behavior of the Earth's surface temperature, in degrees Celsius (° C), in close locations the incidence of areas with vegetation located on the banks of the Jaguari River, in the municipality of Jaguari (RS), in order to verify the influence of land uses in the formation of areas with heat stains. In order to investigate the dynamics of TST, with the proximity of vegetated areas along the waterways of the Jaguari River, we retrieved TST information from the use of band 10 of the thermal infrared sensor (TIRS - Thermal Infrared Sensor) of the satellite Landsat-8. Among the results obtained, it should be noted that there is a great importance of green areas for maintaining surface temperature, especially in urbanized areas. Thus, it was concluded that green areas can be great collaborators for the maintenance of milder temperatures on the local surface. Thus, the conservation of these areas is of great relevance for the climatic dynamics, mainly of the urbanized areas
