COMPOSIÇÃO E ESTRUTURA DA COMUNIDADE FITOPLANCTÔNICA RELACIONADAS COM VARIÁVEIS HIDROLÓGICAS ABIÓTICAS NO RESERVATÓRIO DE BOTAFOGO
Abstract
O presente trabalho objetivou avaliar as características ecológicas de um reservatório utilizado para abastecimento público na região Nordeste do Brasil. Entre os recursos hídricos destacam-se os reservatórios que são utilizados para abastecimento publico, na agricultura, atividades pastoris e pesca para sobrevivência. Foram escolhidas duas estações de coleta visando caracterizar os impactos da ação antrópica decorrente do crescimento populacional e da vegetação do entorno nos compartimentos abióticos e bióticos. As variáveis químicas e físicas e a composição e densidade das espécies fitoplanctônicas foram analisadas. Diferenças significativas não foram observadas entre as variações verticais e horizontais do teor de oxigênio, temperatura da água, condutividade, pH, sólidos totais dissolvidos ou turbidez da água. Contudo, as diferenças estacionais foram elevadas. As maiores concentrações médias de nitrogênio total foram observadas no período chuvoso. A concentração de nitrato apresentou pequenas diferenças médias entre as estações de estudo e os períodos de amostragem. As concentrações de fósforo total e o fósforo total dissolvido foram geralmente maiores durante o período chuvoso. Foram encontradas pequenas diferenças nas concentrações de ortofosfato durante as duas estações com os maiores valores observados no período seco. Os maiores valores médios de fósforo total justificam sua classificação como hipereutrófica. A comunidade fitoplanctônica esteve composta por 29 espécies pertencendo a seis divisões, sendo mais bem representada pelas Chlorophyta. O número de espécies identificadas foi maior na superfície das duas estações de coleta durante ambos os períodos estudados. Trachelomonas volvocina apresentou as maiores densidades na superfície durante todos os dias de amostragem em ambas os períodos de estacionais. Contudo, Planktosphaeria gelatinosa e Euglena sp. também apresentaram altas densidades durante a estação chuvosa.Downloads
