POLÍTICAS PÚBLICAS E GLOBALIZAÇÃO DA AGRICULTURA NO VALE DO AÇU-RN

Abstract

Este artigo teve como objetivo resgatar o processo histórico de implementação das políticas públicas voltadas para a inserção de uma região semi-árida - o Vale do Açu-RN- na globalização da agricultura através da fruticultura irrigada. Para isso se fez necessário fazer um resgate histórico dessas políticas implementadas no Vale do Açu desde a década de 1950 até os dias atuais levando em conta a inserção da região no comercio global de frutas através principalmente da logística, infra-estrutura e garantia hídrica. O referencial que foi utilizado se baseou principalmente na literatura acerca das políticas públicas a nível local, regional e nacional. A pesquisa foi realizada com base em fontes documentais, livros, periódicos e entrevistas. Realizou-se um levantamento na internet sobre as principais políticas implementadas e em curso pelo Ministério da Integração Nacional, Ministério do Desenvolvimento Agrário, dentre outros órgãos públicos. Paralelo a isso se orquestrou uma pesquisa de cartório e entrevistas no Vale do Açu.
