GRAU DE EVOLUÇÃO DA COBERTURA PEDOLÓGICA DE ÁREA FONTE DE DEPÓSITOS COLUVIAIS A PARTIR DA ANÁLISE DA MINERALOGIA DE ARGILAS – PLANALTO BASÁLTICO – SW PR
Abstract
Este artigo traz resultados da estimativa de estabilidade das encostas do médio vale do rio Marrecas (SW PR), Planalto Basáltico, a partir do estabelecimento do grau de evolução da cobertura pedológica de área fonte dos depósitos coluviais. Prodeceu-se a descrição das propriedades sedimentológicas em duas seções estratigráficas (São Cristóvão e Cango), no setor de alta encosta, de modo a comparar as unidades coluviais, classificando-as em fácies deposicionais. O grau de evolução da cobertura pedológica que forneceu material para os depósitos foi verificado pela mineralogia da fração argila. Os sedimentos da seção São Cristóvão apresentam constituição mineralógica do tipo clorita, vermiculita e caulinita, indicando cobertura pedológica da área fonte com características lateríticas e relativamente profunda, possivelmente transição de estágio evolutivo fersialítico para ferruginoso. Este seria uma cobertura pedológica do tipo Nitossolo. Na seção Cango os baixos reflexos de esmectita e caulinita indicam cobertura pedológica da área fonte dos depósitos de colúvios como pouco evoluída, em estágio inicial de evolução. Possivelmente cobertura pedológica de Neossolo Regolítico ou Cambissolo Litólico. As características da cobertura pedológica da área fonte permitem pensar que, ao longo do tempo, houve maior estabilidade da superfície geomorfológica em que se encontra a encosta da seção São Cristóvão e menor estabilidade da superfície que se encontra a encosta da seção Cango.Downloads
