CADEIA PRODUTIVA DOS CULTIVOS DA AGRICULTURA FAMILIAR DO 5º DISTRITO DE SÃO JOÃO DA BARRA, NORTE DO RIO DE JANEIRO

O estudo caracteriza a cadeia produtiva da agricultura familiar do 5º Distrito em São João da Barra, Rio de Janeiro; além de estimar a renda mensal dos agricultores. Os dados foram obtidos entre os meses de junho e outubro de 2015 a partir de 50 entrevistas etnográficas com auxílio de questionário semiestruturado aplicado aos agricultores familiares. Os cultivos mais comercializados são maxixe, quiabo, abacaxi, batata doce e feijão de corda. A cadeia produtiva é formada por: 1) agricultor (produtor) – consumidor final, e 2) agricultor (produtor) – primeiro comprador (atravessador intermediário) – segundo comprador (centrais de distribuição) – terceiro comprador (estabelecimento comercial) – consumidor final. A maior parte dos cultivos é enviada ao mercado de Campos dos Goytacazes, São João da Barra e às Centrais de Abastecimento do Estado (CEASA) do município do Rio de Janeiro. A renda mensal dos entrevistados variou entre R$ 880,00 e R$ 74.800,00. A cadeia produtiva do 5º Distrito demonstra que a agricultura familiar abastece diferentes municípios o que necessita de intermediários. Estes elevam o valor dos produtos ao consumidor final o que diminui a renda dos produtores, interferindo na qualidade de vida das famílias de agricultores. Assim, existe a necessidade em realizar um planejamento sociocultural e produtivo da atividade.
