AGRICULTURA URBANA: DISCUTINDO ALGUMAS DAS SUAS ENGRENAGENS PARA DEBATER O TEMA SOB A ÓTICA DA ANÁLISE ESPACIAL
Abstract
A agricultura urbana é um importante fator no processo de produção de espaços das cidades. Atualmente, cerca de 800 milhões de pessoas desenvolvem esta atividade no mundo. No Brasil, em todas as Regiões, são encontradas experiências de AU. Diante dessa realidade, há de se questionar sobre a natureza desta agricultura urbana, bem como sobre as formas de uso dos espaços por ela produzidos. A AU com suas engrenagens permite a realização de fluxos que mostram, também, intensas relações entre o espaço rural e a cidade. Pode-se, então entender a AU como sendo uma atividade social de cultivo, produção e processamento de artigos alimentícios ou não alimentícios, praticada nos espaços intra e/ou peri urbanos; utilizando-se e disponibilizando os recursos humanos e materiais do, para e por meio do espaço urbano. Sendo assim, essa forma de produzir e usar o espaço geográfico não pode deixar de ser considerada pelos agentes da gestão e do planejamento das nossas cidades. Até porque, a AU já construiu e articulou engrenagens cujas funcionalidades fazem-se inerentes no processo permanente de reprodução do espaço urbano em todo o mundo.Downloads
