Combinação do Método AHP e SIG na Seleção de Áreas com Potenciais para a Instalação de Aterro Sanitário “ Caso da Ilha do Fogo”.
Abstract
A localização de um aterro constitui um processo complexo de planeamento, pela necessidade de compatibilizar as variáveis sociais, ambientais e económicas, o que requer uma análise criteriosa destes parâmetros com o intuito de mitigar os impactos ambientais e socioeconómicos.
Hoje em dia os sistemas de informação geográfica (SIG) são, actualmente, considerado uma das ferramentas imprescindíveis para a gestão e planeamento nas autarquias locais. Conseguem recolher, armazenar, organizar e seleccionar, transformar e representar a informação de natureza espacial, do «mundo real» para um vasto conjunto de circunstâncias. A gestão eficaz de infra-estruturas exigem que a disposição dos equipamentos no meio urbano seja conhecida, bem como o uso do solo. O presente estudo tem como objeto de estudo a ilha do Fogo, na República de Cabo Verde, utilizou-se a análise multicritério mais concretamente o método Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP), para a determinação dos pesos estatiscos para cada Critério, combinado com as ferramentas do SIG para a localização de aterro sanitário na Ilha do Fogo, Cabo Verde.
