ANÁLISE CLIMATOLÓGICA E DOS EVENTOS EXTREMOS DE CHUVA NO MUNICÍPIO DO IPOJUCA, PERNAMBUCO
Abstract
Em todo o Mundo tem se notado o aumento da ocorrência de desastres naturais que podem estar relacionados a diversos fatores, como por exemplo, ao aumento populacional e ao aumento dos eventos extremos. Diante deste contexto procurou-se no presente trabalho identificar os eventos extremos de chuva no município do Ipojuca, litoral Sul de Pernambuco e exemplos de impactos provocados por estes. Aplicou-se, portanto, a técnica dos Quantis para a identificação dos extremos de chuva anuais, mensais e diários e os resultados desta aplicação foram comparados com os eventos de Alterações na Temperatura da Superfície do Mar no Pacífico (ATSM) como os fenômenos de El Niño/Oscilação Sul (ENOS) e do Oceano Atlântico tropical (AT). Para os anos identificados como extremos foram compiladas ocorrência cadastradas no banco de dados S2ID da Secretaria Nacional de Proteção e Defesa Civil (Sedec). Com base nos resultados verificou-se uma predominância de anos secos entre as décadas de 1940 e 1960 que pode ter sido influenciada pela ocorrência de fenômenos de El Niño, agravados pela ocorrência de uma fase positiva do Dipolo do Atlântico, diminuindo as chuvas na porção leste do Nordeste do Brasil. De 1962 a 1975, houve maior ocorrência de anos chuvosos a extremamente chuvosos, que coincide com a ocorrência de eventos de La Niña forte e fracos, intensificados pela fase negativa do Dipolo do Atlântico, o que leva ao aumento das chuvas na porção leste do Nordeste. Em anos de conjunção dos eventos de El Niño e da fase negativa do Dipolo do Atlântico, as chuvas mostraram-se mais concentradas, e se verificaram eventos extremos pelo fato de as águas do Oceano Atlântico Tropical Sul encontrarem-se mais aquecidas, intensificando os sistemas meteorológicos atuantes, principalmente no período chuvoso.
