Abstract

This study investigates the methods which are implemented by higher education faculty of the School of Administration and Finance courses in Accounting and Business Administration from the State University of Rio de Janeiro. Search in this way to verify the applicability of existing methods, and obtain the views of students on those methods that were actually submitted in the classroom, taking into account some variables such as stroke, sex, age and period. To survey these data will use specific questionnaires for both teachers and for students. The results indicate the use of a few practices consistent with the needs and interests of students, particularly regarding active learning beyond the dominance of traditional, teacher-centered.
