É assim no aertão: a creation process revisiting the afetive memories

Abstract

This paper focuses on the creation process of the canvas entitled “É Assim no Sertão”, based on an analysis of the memories evoked by textile making; it also reflects on the regional northeastern roots influences in the imagetic
constructions, the created elements and their respective techniques. By revisiting affective memories and discovering their origin, we expect to be able to understand the artistic potential through experimentation, as we start to understand the own
aesthetic line for artists in the creation process.
